These Terms govern your use of "Tee" (the "Service"), operated by Lacher Ventures, LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("we," "us"), and available at teenotes.app. By signing in or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Tee is a personal, invite-only note-taking service: you can write notes, tag them, attach images and PDFs, search your content, and share individual notes or tags with other invited users. Access requires an invitation and sign-in with a Google or Apple account. The Service is currently offered free of charge to invited users.
You must be at least 13 years old (or at least 16 if you are in the European Union or United Kingdom) to use the Service.
You own your content. Notes, attachments, and anything else you upload remain yours; these Terms give us only the limited rights needed to store, display, back up, and transmit that content in order to operate the Service (for example, showing a note to a person you shared it with).
You are solely responsible for your content. Lacher Ventures, LLC acts as a passive host: we do not review, endorse, or claim ownership of what users store, and we are not responsible for it. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload and for what you choose to share and with whom.
You may not use the Service to store or share content that is unlawful; that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, or privacy; that constitutes child sexual abuse material; that is malware; or that harasses or threatens others. You may not attempt to access other users' content, probe or overload the Service, resell access, or use the Service as a general-purpose file host. Sharing features exist to share your notes with people you know — not for public distribution.
We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law, and we may withdraw invitations or discontinue the Service. Where practical we will give you notice and an opportunity to export your content. You can export your content (Account → Export) and delete your account, along with its content, at any time from within the Service.
If you believe content hosted on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512 to support@lacherventures.com including: identification of the work, the URL or identifier of the infringing material, your contact information, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner. We will remove or disable access to material in response to valid notices and may terminate repeat infringers' accounts.
The Service is a small, personal service provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will never be lost — keep exports of anything you cannot afford to lose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lacher Ventures, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lacher Ventures, LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from content you store or share on the Service or your violation of these Terms.
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how content is handled, including the current limits of that protection. The Service uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
Tee is built with the assistance of AI development tools (Anthropic's Claude). This concerns how the software is written; your stored content is not sent to Anthropic. Any use of AI on your content within the Service is separately and explicitly disclosed in the Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Midland County, Michigan, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notice within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
